How Does TBC Work for You?

The Agency

TBC Services is a full service employment agency.  We recruit, screen and hire appropriate workers for our employer clients in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland county, Acheson Industrial Park and west Edmonton.  As an employer you will find our services a resourceful tool to assist you in recruiting and retaining 'good' employees.  As a jobseeker TBC can assist you in your job search.

The Opportunity

Most of TBC's business consists of temporary employment which can last anywhere from a minimum of 4 hrs. to several days, weeks or even months.  We also recruit for permanent, full time positions for our various clients.  Please refer to the Jobseeker link for more information.

Offering the Opportunity

As a job seeker; after you fill out an online registration form, you will be contacted and scheduled for an interview.  When positions arise that suit your skills and interests we will contact you to offer you the job.  This usually happens either the afternoon before the work day or the morning of the work day.  Opportunity moves very fast at TBC.

Employee Responsibility

On your commitment to a position TBC offers, you are then expected to arrive to the job location on time.  TBC will give you the appropriate information and direction to the job site.  TBC does not tolerate workers who do not show up for scheduled work, who are late or who behave poorly.  This type of worker is immediately removed from our list and data base.

Our Responsibility

TBC assures you that:

  • we will only offer you work that matches your skills and interests,
  • we will compensate you fairly for the work that you do,
  • we will only staff you in safe work environments and with reputable clients

Compensation

Competitive wages are paid for short term temporary work weekly, every Friday.  Wages are dependant upon the type of work, the skills you have and your ability to perform.  Each week TBC adds 4% of your base wage as vacation pay.  As your employer TBC will make contributions to the CPP, EI and WCB.  We also remit your portion of CPP & EI plus taxes owed to the government.  T4's are issued every February.

For short term temporary assignments; Cheques are issued every Friday afternoon, as long as you have submitted your signed timesheet by Monday AM for the previous week.  Any hrs. worked on a Saturday and Sunday, may be included on the following Friday's cheque as long as the timesheet is submitted first thing Monday morning.  Longer term or contract employment is paid semi-monthly.
